I love the way your book opens up and tells the behind-the-scenes story of a family's trauma, giving insight into how pain can be passed down from one generation to the next. It shows how one can push beyond the trauma as they struggle, yet find healing to the trauma.
 

Tiffany Green-Abdullah eloquently depicts what it truly means to own your truth, rise above, find your strength, and overcome. Her family's story demonstrates a legacy of resilience. I encourage everyone to see themselves in Tiffany's journey through time; woven through the fabric of family. A beautiful, powerful, purposeful read! 

This book is a genuine page-turner that captures your curiosity every step of the way. It touches on relatable themes within the African American experience and provokes one to indulge in personal introspection. A memoir to remember. 

The Bean Pie: A Remembering of our Family’s Faith, Fortitude, & Forgiveness is a great read and a true testament about the life's journey of four generations of strong and determined women. It gives a glimpse into the life of Aunt Daisy and the early days of the Black Muslims, as well as the origins of the bean pie. I absolutely loved the book!
